Welcome to the Sonoma Grille, where food and wine are celebrated everyday. I invite you, my guest, to a truly authentic and delectable dining experience.
The Sonoma Grille is a sophisticated, casual restaurant with an airy dining room, hip diners and a display of vivid colors, reminiscent of the Sonoma valley. Savor a glass of wine in our lounge, overlooking a towering collection of wine or spend a leisurely evening pairing the wine with a delightful dinner.
Sonoma Grille's fare is a melting pot of international cuisine, wrapped with a California twist. The chef's cosmopolitan inspirations come from Mexico, Japan, Middle East and France, all uniting into an eclectic, yet approachable gourmet indulgence.
As the valleys and the vineyards harmoniously mingle in Sonoma, so do the creations on the menu and wine pairings at Sonoma Grille. Each menu item features a suggested wine pairing, sure to create a match made in heaven. For the more adventurous, we offer a selection of over 100 wines by the glass. We call it a cellar of wine brilliance.

Sonoma is one of very few restaurants downtown that isn't Italian or a Steakhouse. It's nice to have new variety in the Pittsburgh restaurant scene especially so near the cultural district. Sonoma is a great place for a midtown lunch or dinner before an event. Service is sometimes slow, but the drink specials more than make up for it.

In June, I had the pleasure of going to Sonoma Grille for a tasting one day with my company. It was a wonderful experience and we got to try pretty much everything. My favorite drink was the Lady Bug White Wine that goes great with the cheese they put out for us. It was a sweet, delicious treat. The cheese platter complimented this wine and consisted of Irish Cheddar, Goat Cheese, Sheeps Milk Cheese, Chiphoni, apple slices, grapes, and flatbread. The food was off the charts and as a Chicken lover I thoroughly enjoyed the Indonesian Chicken Satay with peanut sauce and organic Amish chicken. This is a great place to go before or after a show down in the cultural district for a nice cocktail or outstanding dining experience that you will be raving about after to everyone!

The Happy Hour specials are fantastic, so every time I come here I try something new. I would definitely recommend the White Sangria, which tastes like a classic sangria with a fruitier white-wine taste. The food is delicious, but make sure you bring your pocket-book! A must-try is the Wild Mushroom Flatbread, which has a delicious mixture of olives and mushrooms, topped with feta cheese. Yummy! And there is a parking garage just down the street from the restaurant, so it's easy to get down there!

I went there with my friends to have a good time, just ladies when we had a waitress who was rude, ignorant and very trashy.

I went to dinner with my family and the night started off very nice with the wine and appetizers. We were all uncertain what to do so it took us a while, besides we had eight people! The staff was very impatient and even though they were fast with food, it was very "rush" feeling. I felt like the waitress was in a hurry to leave. If we didn't have bottles of wine in our system, we could of been alot defensive. The food was barely tolerable. There were some good qualities with food but the staff needs re-placed asap. Especially all of the females in that place, they were all pretty ridiculous when we asked for anything. I advise the owner to get rid of everyone and hire staff with class and manners.
